Twenty five years ago last Saturday, Star Trek Deep Space Nine aired its final episode, "What You Leave Behind". I still miss this show. It's my favorite of all Trek series. I catch the reruns on Heroes and Icons whenever I can. This week, they're running the final episodes.

I just watched the series finale of Star Trek Discovery. It was a beautiful end. I'm sorry that it's over. I'll miss the characters, though I'm sure we'll see some pop up on the upcoming Starfleet Academy series. Thirty years ago tonight, the series finale of Star Trek The Next Generation aired. I had just graduated from Colorado State University a couple of weeks before, and my family was about to move from Colorado to Virginia. Four weeks after surgery, I'm finally feeling almost normal. There's still a little bit of pain in one spot (where the seroma is), but it's manageable. Solar eclipse day! The weather cooperated, so the eclipse was actually visible in our area. We weren't in an area with totality, but about 87% of the sun was covered. It definitely got a bit darker and cooler for a few minutes!

I finally saw the Barbie movie. I went with Mom and Katie. We had a blast. It was so much fun, and worth all the hype.

My high school friend Renee made a Barbie baseball cap for me, and I
wore it along with the mini doll earrings I made years ago. And we all wore pink.

AG released the second special collaboration today for Berry Members. It's Disney Princesses, just like AG fan sites have predicted. And they're lovely. $300 each. If I had the money, I would get Belle.

Last week, Tony Bennett passed away at 96. That was expected, as he had Alzheimer's and had been declining in the last couple of years. Two days ago, Sinead O'Connor suddenly died. No cause mentioned, but she had always been troubled, and her son killed himself last year. That's enough to put anyone over the edge ( Read more... )

I forgot to take my meds this morning. Total brain fog. And I felt like crap all day. I took them after lunch, but I'm only starting to feel better now. Also, my port scar hurt last night. It was sudden and lasted for several minutes. It's fine now. But it bugged me ( Read more... )
